5 Killed in Accident Involving Three Vehicles in CG

BALOD: Five were killed and one grievously injured in a major accident involving a car, truck, and a motorcycle in CGs Balod drict on Friday said police.
The accident took place near Markatola village under Doundi police station limits. A car heading towards Bhanupratappur from Balod rammed into a truck while trying to overtake it, and seconds later a motorcycle coming from behind crashed into the car, said a police official.
All five including a 12-year-old girl died on the spot, and one grievously injured was shifted to Rajnandgaon for treatment. The car is said to have collided with the railing on the road. However, the exact cause is yet to be ascertained.
