6 Arrested for Illicit Smuggling of Ganja Worth Rs 10 Lakhs

RAIPUR: The Government Railway police in Raipur on Wednesday arrested 6 in connection to the illicit smuggling of Ganja. The GRP during the search recovered 1 quintal and 4 kgs of Ganja from the possession of the accused detained.
Acting on a tip-off received the GRP launched an operation to detain the smugglers. As per sources the seized Ganja is worth Rs 10 lakhs. Primary Investigation revealed the accused had come from Riagarh Samta Express.
GRP in Charge LS Rajput said, all accused were aged between 25 and 27 and were residents of Raipur and Raigarh (Orissa). A case under the NDPS Act has been regered agaisnt them.” Those arrested have been identified as Sanjay Singh, Akshay Pal, Ravu Vidikar, Biju Palka, Chinnu Sri Ram, and Ramdeen.
Further investigations are underway.
