CG Governor Expresses Displeasure over Writ Petition

RAIPUR: In response to writ petition filed against Governor Anusiya Uikey, the CG’s Governor Office has wrote a letter stating that Uikey has expressed ‘grave displeasure’.
The letter dated Feb 9th addressing the Chief Secretary of thes state sought answrrs from the govt in five days asking under what circumstances the writ petition was filed agaisnt the Governor. The advocate general of Chhattisgarh, Satish Chandra Verma responding to the letter said he has not yet received the letter officially. “Once I get the letter, I will be able to reply,” Verma said.
The Raj Bhavan also moved an application in the HC demanding to recall the notice served on Feb 6th. “The application has been filed in court seeking stay over the order in which a notice was served to the governor office,” said S Gopa Kumar, assant solicitor general of India for the high court of Chhattisgarh.
The Bilaspur HC on 6th Feb issued a notice to the Governor hearing the plea that challenged the alleged delay in assent to two bills related to reservatyion that were passed the Baghel cabinet in a special assembly session on December 3rd. The order has instructed the Raj Bhavan to submit a reply Feb 24th.
On January 18, a petition filed Himank Saluja in the Chhattisgarh high court that alleged no action was taken the governor on two reservation bills sent the state government for her assent, in the absence of which students were suffering, and the reservation policy in the state was not clear.
