Watch: Ashish Nehra explains his coaching philosophy

Gujarat Titans Head Coach Ashish Nehra explained his coaching philosophy and revealed how he deals with players with dinct skills.
In a podcast with Gujarat Titans, coach Nehra and performance analyst Sandeep Raju spoke about how they manage the Titans clan.
“There’s no philosophy. Whenever I have played I have come across some really good coaches. Sometimes, as a player you feel or as a human you might feel this thing is very easy, it’s so simple, why people are making this complicated so even in coaching I had the same feelings,” said Nehra.
“My main thing is to help the players, share my experience, then it’s up to the players and of course you’ve different relationships with different players,” he added
“Each player is in a different place in his career so you deal with them accordingly.”

When host Guarav Kapoor asked Sandeep Raju what makes Nehra such a good coach he said that the latter instils confidence in both the players and the support staff.
“The biggest plus factor with him is that he believes in people and he puts confidence in players, support staff and he doesn’t treat anybody special, everybody is equal and that’s his biggest speciality,” he said.
“He gives players confidence like Hardik is a great example where he believed he can be the captain,” added.

Adding on Nehra’s ability to manage the team, he said, “It’s very easy to pin-point and I think it’s not the right way, no player will like it. You have to help those players.”
