Truck-Pickup Collision Caused 6 Deaths & 23 People Injured

Balodabazar: On Sunday, 14 May, a collision took place between a Truck and Pickup at the Balodabazar drict. Due to this incident, six people have died which included a child and five women. They were returning to their home through the pickup after attending the sixth event.
The truck hit the pickup causing six people to die. This incident took place near the Palari Police station. The reports say that there were approximately 30 people who went to attend the sixth event from Latuwa and even its surrounding villages. They were returning from the event around 11 PM and the accident happened at the Raipur-Balodabazar Road.
The accident was so tragic that three people died at the spot while the other three died in the drict hospital during the treatment. When the local people got to know about the accident, they immediately went to the place to help the individuals who could be saved.
The Collector and Superintendent also visited the hospital to visit the victim’s family. They even told the higher officials to provide the best health facilities to the victim’s family and the Collector and Superintendent are also in constant touch with the Health Department.
