Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel Aims PM Modi, Warns of a Surge in Falsehoods if He Visits

Raipur: Prime Miner Narendra Modi strongly criticized the Congress party. In retaliation Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel accused PM Modi of spreading misinformation. Baghel expressed his sentiments on Twitter, stating, “When you come, the flow of lies begins, PM Modi.”
CM Baghel further criticized the state BJP leaders, alleging that they constantly mislead farmers claiming that the central government funds paddy procurement. He challenged PM Modi, stating that as the Prime Miner, he knows the truth but continues to propagate falsehoods.

80…— Bhupesh Baghel (@bhupeshbaghel) July 7, 2023

Baghel highlighted the claim that the central government takes 80% of the state’s paddy procurement, calling it the biggest lie in the name of farmers. He questioned why farmers in PM Modi’s own Lok Sabha constituency of Varanasi are compelled to sell paddy at low prices, ranging from Rs 1000 to 1200 per quintal, if the central government plays such a significant role in procurement. Baghel accused BJP leaders in Chhattisgarh of providing PM Modi with inaccurate information, which he incorporated into his speech before leaving.
Furthermore, Baghel emphasized that the people of Chhattisgarh are well aware of the state government’s commitment to farmers. He mentioned the swift implementation of the loan waiver scheme for farmers, which was accomplished within two hours, contrary to the never-fulfilled promises made the BJP regarding higher minimum support prices and bonuses. Baghel asserted that the farmers of Chhattisgarh cannot be misled, including PM Modi.
The recent exchange of criticisms between the Prime Miner and the Chief Miner sheds light on the highly charged political climate in Chhattisgarh. Both sides are vigorously contesting each others’ assertions and presenting differing accounts of their policies and dedication to the well being of farmers.
