Chhattisgarh CM Baghel: Transparency on FIR Against Priyanka Gandhi Over MP Allegation
Raipur: Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, a figure within the Congress party, recently found herself facing FIRs filed against her in both Bhopal and Indore. In response to this, Chhattisgarh’s Chief Miner Bhupesh Baghel strongly expressed his disapproval of denouncing the BJP’s actions and emphasized that filing an FIR cannot suppress the truth.
The FIR was initiated against Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who holds the position of secretary within the Congress party alongside other party officials, including Jairam Ramesh. This action was taken in response to a post she made on the social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter). In her post, she shared what appeared to be a letter that accused the BJP-led government in Madhya Pradesh of engaging in practices.
Chhattisgarh’s CM Bhupesh Baghel firmly stood his stance. Stated, “The BJP government’s attempt to conceal the truth through an FIR against Priyanka Gandhi Vadra is futile.” He also referred to a letter written government contractors addressed to the Chief Justice of Madhya Pradesh High Court. In their letter, they alleged that they were being demanded a 50% commission from their payments.
In order to shed light on what she perceived as corruption the BJP, Priyanka previously shared a news clip on X where members of the Madhya Pradesh Contractors Union wrote to the Chief Justice of the High Court expressing their concerns about bills being released only after hefty commissions were paid. She compared the allegations of corruption, against the BJP government, in Karnataka, stating that the party’s hory of corruption had been exceeded in Madhya Pradesh.
