Foreign Ministry S Jaishankar told  in an exclusive interview that China “used” to publish such maps and told China to only include other countries’ territories on its maps. doesn’t mean Nothing.
“China has released maps with territories that are not theirs. (It’s a) old habit. Publish only maps of regions of India…it doesn’t change anything. Our government is very clear about our territory. Making absurd claims does not make someone else’s territory yours,” .

Mr Jaishankar also separates the retreat talks along the Line of Actual Control from the new map of China, the map released on Monday sandwiched between the G20 summit in Delhi next weekend. and last week’s “informal conversation” between Xi Jinping and the Chinese Premier. Narendra Modi at the BRICS summit in South Africa. Prime Minister Modi then conveyed to Xi Jinping “India’s concerns about unresolved issues along the LAC and other areas along the India-China border”.
The map also shows that other disputed areas – Taiwan and much of the South China Sea – are part of China’s territory. Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia and Brunei all have claims to the area.
