Keep aside differences to take society forward: CM
Keeping aside ego and mutual differences, it is the responsibility of the office bearers of the Chhattisgarh Sahu Sangh to take the community forward, Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said on Monday.
He was addressing the swearing-in ceremony of the new office bearers of the Sangh at the Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium here.
He performed Bhoomi Pujan of a new building to be built in the name of late Arjun Hirwani, former President of Sahu Sangh at Tikrapara (Raipur).
On the demand for naming any institution in the state after the late Tarachand Sahu, Baghel said Sahu was a four-time MP and founder President of the Chhattisgarh Swabhiman Manch. An institution of the state will definitely be named after him.
He said the state government has been working to preserve and promote its culture. Public holidays have been declared on Hareli, Teeja-Pora, Karma Jayanti and others.
He said the ‘Maghi Punni Mela’ is held in Rajim every year. Therefore, it has been decided to develop a fair ground on 55 acres with permanent infrastructure.
National General Secretary of the All India Tailik Sahu Mahasabha, Ram Lal Prasad Gupta, administered the oath to office bearers of the Sahu Sangh, including President Tahal Singh Sahu and Vice Presidents Bhuvneshwar Sahu and Mohan Kumari Sahu.
