Cancer Hospital To be Set Up In Bilaspur

100 bed cancer institute worth Rs 120 crore will be build in Bilaspur.CM Baghel performed bhoomi pujan in virtual program.The cancer institute will be equipped with the state-of-art equipment.

Bilaspur: Chhattisgarh Chief Miner Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday said the government has taken another vital initiative with the bhoomi pujan of the Chhattisgarh State Cancer Institute at Bilaspur. It is part of the continuous efforts to expand health facilities in the state.

He was addressing the virtual bhoomi pujan of an ultramodern cancer institute to be built, an official communication said.

He said the institute will prove to be of utmost   importance for the treatment of cancer patients within the state and neighbouring states. It will be equipped with ultramodern medical equipment and medical facilities to treat all kinds of cancer.

Its construction will be complete within the next one year. It will have a state-of-the-art cancer ward with 100 beds and an ICU ward with 20-bed capacity.

Health Miner T.S. Singh Deo said the Chief Miner has approved Rs 34.19 crore for the institute to commence the construction. The total project cost is Rs 120 crores. All types of facilities will be available free of cost.
