Reward Carrying Naxal Slained in Encounter with Security Forces

Naxal carrying a reward of Rs 5 lakh slained in an encounter in Dantewada.The naxal was wanted in 15 criminal cases, officials said.The encounter took place in a forest surrounding Jabrametta under Katekalyan police station limits.

Dantewada: In an encounter that broke between the DRG personnel and the Naxalites in Katekalyan Police station area on the intervening nights of Modnay and Teusday , a Naxal carrying a reward of Rs 5 was slained, an official said on Teusday.

The deceased identified as Budhram Markam, a member of the Katekalyan Area committe of maos was wanted to 15 criminal cases, officers added.

The encounter that took place in a forest surrounding Jabrametta under Katekalyan police station limits, claimed the life of one Naxal when one amongst them targetted a security personnel who were then on a search operation provoking the security officers to retaliate, said Dantewada SP Siddharth Tiwari on being questioned about the operations.
