IMD Predicts Heavy Rains in MP and CG

Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh likely. to recieve heavy rain and thunder shower.A depression moves west-northwestwards across south Odisha and south Chhattisgarh. Spells of rains across Bhopal and Indore to continue.

New Delhi: The IMD has predicted heavy rain and thundershowers in Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Goa over the next 5 days. The depression across Orissa is predicted to move west-northwestwards across south Odisha and south Chhattisgarh in the next 24 hours and weaken gradually- the notice mentioned.

The notice read- Ghat areas of Maharashtra, Konkan and Vidarbha will receive heavy rains between September 11 and 16. Even Marathwada is also predicted to recieve rains within the next 24 hours.

Under the influence of the low pressure area system in the Bay of Bengal, heavy rain across Mahdya Pradesh is forecast. After that, there will be isolated rainfall for 48 hours in Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Harda, Betul, Niwari, Damoh, Panna, Tikgamgarh, Sagar, Chhatarpur, Singrauli, Sidhi, Satna, Rewa, Mandla, Seoni, Narsinghpur, Balaghat, Jabalpur, Chhindwara, Katni, Dindori, Shahdol, Anuppur , Umaria, Sheopurkalan, Morena, Bhind, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Guna, Ashok Nagar, Jhabua, Khargone, Khandwa, Burhanpur, Barwani, Alirajpur, Indore, Dhar and Rajgarh.

In the past 24 hours, Madhya Pradesh, parts of Chhattisgarh bordering Telangana and Maharashtra have recorded light to moderate rainfall.
