BJP to witness historic defeat in UP: Akhilesh

Samajwadi Party national president and former chief minister of UP, Akhilesh Yadav, claimed that the 2022 assembly polls in Uttar Pradesh would witness a historic defeat of the Bharatiya Janata Party as people were supporting the ‘Remove BJP, Save UP’ slogan.

“The BJP fosters and practices politics of hatred. They want to end brotherhood and Ganga Jamuni culture in the state. The ruling party has snatched the rights and honour of the people and is humiliating them,” Akhilesh said while addressing a Janwadi Jankranti Maharally organised by Janwadi Party (Socialist) at Ramabai Ambedkar Maidan in Lucknow on Thursday.

“The slogan of ‘Remove BJP, Save UP’ has become a hit with the people of the state because they identify themselves with it. People of every section of society are unhappy with this BJP government. No government has given so much sorrow and pain to the people of the state. The dream that Babasaheb had envisioned has not been fulfilled. The BJP government does not want to conduct caste census and does not want to give several castes and sub-castes their right and the respect. As and when the Samajwadi Party forms the government in UP, a caste census will be conducted and the Chauhan community will also get its rights,” he said.

Akhilesh further said that the Samajwadi Party was connecting with everyone.

“We have worked to connect several parties. We have made a colourful bouquet by mixing many colours. We will develop the state by connecting everyone. The BJP is colourless, they can never bring happiness. They are a government changing colours and names. People have also made up their minds to change this system of governance,” he said.

Appealing to his supporters, Janwadi Party (Socialist) president Dr Sanjay Chauhan said that Akhilesh Yadav had to be made the chief minister of UP to teach a lesson to the ruling BJP and said that the BJP took votes but did not respect the voters.

“The BJP does not want social justice. Akhileshji has given respect to our society. The BJP does not want any Chauhan to be leader of society,” Chauhan said.
