BJP trying to destabilize Cong governments: CM

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday accused the Modi government of trying to destabilize Congress-led governments in Chhattisgarh and Rajasthan.

He was speaking to the media at a sit-in protest organized before the Enforcement Directorate (ED) office against the questioning of Congress former President Rahul Gandhi on a fifth day over the National Herald case.

Chhattisgarh cabinet Ministers and MLAs including PCC President participated in the protest held at the Congress party headquarters in the heart of the capital.

All the protesting leaders were arrested before they left the headquarters to march towards the ED office. The Congress had called its MLAs and MPs across the country to participate in a protest at New Delhi.

“Just because we are with Rahul Gandhi, (Rajasthan) Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s brother was raided. I have come to know that illegal phone tapping is going on in Chhattisgarh. They are trying to destabilize our state governments,” Baghel said.

On the Agniveer scheme, he said the youths were agitated and the entire country was protesting against it.

He said the scheme was not in the country’s welfare and should be rolled back.
