Cameron Green slams maiden T20 hundred, powers Mumbai Indians to victory
Cameron Green dished out a standout performance for Mumbai Indians in the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL) match against Sunrisers Hyderabad on Sunday. In the all important game, the 23-year-old all-rounder played a sensational knock with the willow, smashing 100 off just 47 balls and hit the winning runs as well.
Green has been a key part of the team’s success so far this season.
Prior to this knock, Green had played in 13 matches, scored 281 runs at an average of 40.14, with two half-centuries. He now has more than 350 runs in the tournament.
Green’s batting has been particularly impressive, and he once again showed that he can score runs quickly and fluently.
In his stellar knock at Wankhede, he hit eight fours and eight sixes at a strike rate above 200.
Coming into bat at number three, Green counterattacked the SRH bowlers who had their tails up after getting Ishan Kishan early. He reached his fifty in just 20 balls and then continued to hammer the opposition.
Incidentally, this was the second fastest an overseas player in MI jersey.
