Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel to Allocate Rs 15.72 Crore to Godhan Nyay Yojana Beneficiaries

Raipur: On August 5th, Chief Miner Bhupesh Baghel will host a video conference to facilitate the transfer of funds to the beneficiaries of the ‘Godhan Nyay Yojana’. The event will take place at his office in his residence starting at 1;00 PM.
During this event, Chief Miner Bhupesh Baghel will virtually dribute a sum of Rs 73.15 crore as an instalment of the scheme. It is important to note that these beneficiaries are cattle farmers who have been contributing to gathers selling cow dung. As part of their efforts, from July 2023 5, they will receive an amount of Rs 14.31 crore.
In addition, an allocation of Rs 9.69 crore will be made to gauthan committees and women self help groups aiming to strengthen their contributions, to the program. Recent progress shows that in the half of July, a significant amount of 2,80,000 quintals of cow dung has been procured under the Godhan Nyay Yojana.
Since its inception, a substantial sum of Rs 526 crore has already been dributed among beneficiaries. With this allocation of Rs 15.72 crore, the cumulative amount will rise impressively to Rs 541.66 crore. It is worth mentioning that a bonus amounting to Rs 18 crore has been specifically released for women’s groups participating in this scheme.
This particular sourcing process has led to payments amounting to Rs 125.54 crore being made to suppliers of cow dung in exchange for a total of 250.08 lakh quintals of cow dung.
