CM Baghel Appeals To Prepare For Roka-Chheka From 6-17 July

Raipur: In a meeting held at the chief miner’s office, Chief Miner Bhupesh Baghel appealed to the village patels, farmers, and other residents of the state to prepare for Roka-Chheka in the villages from July 6 to 17th.
The work of the cattle Roka-Chheka has now become easier with the formation of Gothans. They are being built in the village with the aim of taking better care of livestock. So far, approval for the construction of 10,624 Gothans has been provided.

For those unfamiliar, Roka-Chheka Abhiyan is a statewide program launched on July 10, 2022, CM Baghel in Chhattisgarh to protect kharif crops in the state. During this period, crops are saved from grazing, and veterinary camps are organised to check the health of animals, castration, artificial insemination, and vaccinations are done for the improvement of animal breeds.
Though an old tradition of the state to avoid crop damage, CM Baghel has advanced the ritual as a program to ensure crop safety as well as well being of the animals of the state.
