CM promises hostel, bus for school children
After hearing the concerns of a mother, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday promised to build hostels along with schools and operate bus services so that students can easily commute.
Baghel not only thanked the woman, Chandrika Thakur, for her practical suggestion but announced that monetary provision will be made for this in the next budget.
During the interaction with people in Bade Kilpal village in Chitrakot assembly constituency, Chandrika Thakur said that both her children study in a Swami Atmanand English Medium School.
But she said that she faces the problem of dropping them off to the school as it is situated far away. As her husband has to remain away from the family on a regular basis due to work pressure, at times the children are unable to attend the school.
She suggested that the government should build hostels along with the Swami Atmanand Schools so that children coming from far off places get a place to stay and study.
If the construction of a hostel is not feasible, then school bus services can be started for the Atmanand School so that the children can regularly attend the them with ease, she said.
