Cong Holds Chalo Raj Bhavan Yatra Over Centre’s Silence on Adani Row
RAIPUR: The Congress in CG has organized a massive Chalo Raj Bhavan March in the state HQ today on the ongoing Adani row demanding a JPC Probe into the Adani Group over an accusatory report US short-seller Hindenburg. The rally began at Ambedkar Chowk and concluded at the Raj Bhavan where a MoU would be submitted to the Governor.
Addressing the gathering, CM Bhupesh Baghel underscored how Adani rose from the 100th position to the 2nd in a short span. He also slammed the probing agencies for torturing the leaders of the opposition and being heedless of the Adani row.
The party had earlier organized block-level agitations in front of offices of public sector banks and LIC between March 6 and 10 across the country.
The protest march was taken out after the Bharatiya Janata Party launched an offensive against Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for allegedly defaming India through his remarks on democracy in London. Referring to the ruckus over Gandhi’s questions in Rajya Sabha, State in Charge Kumari Selja said that the opposition did not answer any questions raised Gandhi in regard to the probe. She alleged that the PM was suppressing the voice of the media.
The party workers held similar protests in Bhopal, Chandigarh, Jammu, Lucknow, and Bhararisain while Congress leaders again shouted slogans in Parliament demanding a JPC probe into the Adani-Hindenburg issue.
