Every section should come forward to remove malnutrition: Chief Minister
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today performed virtual bhoomi-pujan of Jalavardhan Yojana costing Rs 178 crore from Indore to Sheopur and Baroda city. On this occasion, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar was specially present in the programme organized in Sheopur.
Addressing the programme virtually, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that effective steps are being taken to check malnutrition in the state. For this many schemes and programmes are being implemented.
Effective implementation of these plans and programmes is possible only with public participation. Chief Minister Chouhan said that every section of the society should come forward to remove malnutrition. Chief Minister Chouhan said that public cooperation is being sought to strengthen facilities in Anganwadis.
Chief Minister Chouhan called upon all sections of the society to extend maximum public cooperation. Chief Minister Chouhan said that the work of cleanliness is being done in the form of a mass movement in the state. Cities like Sheopur and Baroda should also not lag behind in the field of cleanliness.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that no stone is being left unturned for the all-round development of Sheopur. All-round development is being done in Sheopur. Special attention is being paid to the expansion of basic facilities like health, education, roads, electricity, water, housing etc. Chief Minister Chouhan said that the scheme laid today is the result of visionary thinking. The scheme will solve the drinking water problem. We will make effort to ensure that the of the work scheme is completed before the stipulated time of three years.
In a virtual address, Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said that drinking water is the basic need of life. Remarkable works are being done in the state under the leadership of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
He said that water would reach these two cities from the Parvati river under the Jalvardhan Yojana of Sheopur and Baroda so that sufficient drinking water would be available in both the cities. Expressing gratitude to the Chief Minister Chouhan, he said that Sheopur is constantly moving ahead on the path of development.
