‘He showed the intent, led example’: Watch Kumar Sangakkara hail Sanju Samson after win over CSK

Rajasthan Royals Head Coach Kumar Sangakkara lauded skipper Sanju Samson for his contributions to the side and said that he plays selflessly, and always puts the team first.
In a video shared Rajasthan Royals on their Twitter handle, the head coach can be seen singing praise for captain Sanju.
“Skipper, thank you for going in.”
“I think when you watch Sanju bat one of the things that Jos has made this observation before is that he always plays for the side,” Sangakkara revealed.

“Not about the runs, but it’s about how he scores. He showed intent, he led example.” he added.
Samson on Thursday scored 17 runs off 17 deliveries before being removed CSK’s Tushar Deshpande.
The head coach praised the captain for setting a positive example and setting a good tone for the other players.
“I thought irrespective of the runs, that tone that you set the example that you set is great for the rest of your side to follow,” he said.
“So, brilliant skip. Well played,” he concluded.
In the match, Yashasvi Jaiswal slammed a 43-ball 77 to guide the home side to a competitive 202 for five against Chennai Super Kings.
Opting to bat, Jaiswal and Jos Buttler (27 off 21) shared 86 runs in 8.2 overs as RR made a brilliant start.

Young Dhruv Jurel smashed 34 off 15 balls, while Devdutt Padikkal remained unbeaten on 23 off 13 deliveries to power RR past the 200-run mark.
