Rural Industrial Parks (RIPA) In Chhattisgarh To Generate Massive Employment

Raipur: Chhattisgarh government under the leadership of chief miner Bhupesh Baghel has launched a program to set up 300 rural industrial parks (RIPAs) in the state. The RIPAs are being set up in the gauthans, or cattle sheds, of the state. The goal of the program is to provide employment opportunities to the rural youth and to promote economic development in the villages.
The RIPAs will provide space for small-scale industries that can be run the villagers. The industries will be based on the local resources and produce. For example, the RIPAs could be used for processing agricultural products, making handicrafts, or providing services such as tailoring or carpentry.
