School students get chopper ride courtesy CM
Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Friday won numerous hearts when he gave into a young girl’s request to fly in his helicopter — and extended the concession to some other kids too.
Smriti, a Class 2 student studying in Swami Atmanand English Medium School at Raghunath Nagar here, made the plea when the Chief Minister came visiting her school in this assembly constituency.
Not just Smriti, Baghel invited a few more children as well for the ride.
“We too are toppers. When will we get a chance to sit in a helicopter?” asked Smriti.
“When you top in your Class 10 or 12 examinations,” Baghel replied.
“Aaj nahi karaoge?” (Not today?), the girl persisted. Baghel smiled and did not resist the girl’s demand. He immediately fulfilled her wish.
Baghel had on Thursday announced he will provide helicopter ride to meritorious students of Class 10 and 12 of Balrampur-Ramanujganj district along with the 10 state toppers.
