‘Unbelievable, this bloke is now wearing pink, absolutely no idea how Bangalore let him go’: Kevin Pieterson on RCB releasing Yuzvendra Chahal

With just seven more wickets to his cricket, Rajasthan Royals spinner Yuzvendra Chahal is all set to become the most successful bowler of the Indian Premier League (IPL).
Currently, Chahal is only behind Dwayne Bravo who has 183 scalps in 131 games. The leg-spinner, on the other hand has 177 wickets in 137 games to his name.
Before joining the Rajasthan Royals, Chahal was a part of Royal Challengers Bangalore from 2014 to 2021. Ahead of the 2022 IPL auction, the franchise released him and didn’t bid for him.
Speaking about the same, former England cricketer and commentator Kevin Pieterson on Wednesday said the Haryana bowler is one of the best gifts to the RR in the hory of IPL.
Not only this, Pitereson also said he couldn’t believe why RCB let go of him.
“One of the greatest gifts in the hory of the IPL is Chahal to the Rajasthan Royals. Absolutely no idea how Bangalore let him go. Always took the wickets, he was the bloke who kept them in the game,” said Pietersen on air during the RR vs LSG game.
Unbelievable that this bloke is now wearing pink. With the ball he was the most valuable asset for RCB,” he added.
Meanwhile, in the ongoing IPL 2023, the 32-year-old is the joint-highest wicket-taker with 11 wickets in 6 matches.

Talking about yesterday’s game, Rajasthan Royals lost to Lucknow Super Giants 10 runs at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur.
