In another instance of the growing camaraderie between the India and Pakan players, Shaheen Shah Afridi on Sunday congratulated Jasprit Bumrah for the birth of his child and also gave the new father some gifts.
In the heartwarming video shared the Pakan Cricket Board Twitter, Afridi can be seen congratulating Bumrah for the good news to which the Indian pacer replied with thank you. This was after the India vs Pakan Super 4 match was called off due to rain.
The 29-year-old Bumrah had left the Indian camp in Sri Lanka last Sunday to be with his wife in Mumbai, Sanjana Ganesan for the birth of their child, henceforth missing out on India’s game against Nepal on last Monday.

The reserve day’s proceedings will start from 3 PM onwards, after the rain stopped the proceedings on 4.52 PM this day.

India had played 24.1 overs when the rain came down, and will resume from that point (24.2 overs) on the morrow. The two not out batsmen are Virat Kohli (8) and KL Rahul (17).
This also means that Indian players will have to take to the field for two more days in succession – Monday for the reserve day against Pakan and on Tuesday for their second Super 4 match against Sri Lanka.
