When CM joined tribal band on stage

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Tuesday couldn’t stop himself as he joined the Bastar Band on the stage during an enthralling dance and music event.

Baghel was the Chief Guest at a three-day national tribal festival where Bastar Band gave a presentation at the inaugural.

Baghel was so captivated with the tunes of the musical instruments of the tribal group that too he grabbed a “Munda Baja” and started matching the beats of the artists.

Finding that the Chief Minister was with them on the stage, the tribal artists became visibly enthused.

Amazed to see a young artist in the Band, Baghel hugged her and placed her on his shoulders.

Soon, Tribal Affairs Minister Premsai Singh and Food Minister Amarjeet Bhagat also joined him on the stage and danced with the tribal group.

The Bastar Band is overseen by Padma Shree Anoop Ranjan Pandey and the artistes’ age range from 4 to 77 years.

The artistes belong to various tribal groups in Bastar and also make their own musical instruments.
